Wash It Up

Three women seeking fame and fortune as singers in a band called Har-mo-ny toil in a car wash until they get their big break. Chris, the leader of the group, must manage both her career and her love life. The girls interact with a motley crew of co-workers and customers, but soon my get their chance to leave the car wash behind when a DJ offers them the possibility to go on tour.

Directed by Nahala Johnson, Frederick C. Alexander, Wash It Up leans on a strong ensemble — Danielle Small, Erika Cameron, Chrystale Wilson — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2003.
