
Rich and pretty, Susila returns from college to find that her family is being bumped off one by one. The only clues are a half smoked cigar left at the scene of each murder and a mysterious woman in white running through the courtyard.
Directed by A. C. Tirulokchandar, Ave Kallu leans on a strong ensemble — Krishna, Kanchana, Rajanala Kaleswara Rao — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about mystery titles of 1967.
