About Teenage Trap
Two teenagers arrive in Hong Kong from Guangzhou, hoping to find money and prosperity. Ah Man becomes an auto-mechanic; Lin works at an assembly line. After being drugged and raped by her boss, Lin leaves the job and becomes a call-girl where she meets a small-time hood named Wing. When Ah Man looses his position at the garage, Lin convinces Wing to bring him into the mob.
Directed by Chung Gwok-Yan, Teenage Trap leans on a strong ensemble — Tommy Chung, Yik Gon-Ha, Wai Ka-Man — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1984.
