Choron Ka Chor

Dara Singh plays a masked bandit referred to as Choran Ka Chor (Thief of Thieves) who is a modern day Robin Hood. He tangles with an international cartel of smugglers while also looking out for a destitute family who are about to be thrown out onto the street because they cannot pay the rent. He is assisted by his sidekicks Makhan and Lakhan.

Directed by Mohammed Hussain, Choron Ka Chor leans on a strong ensemble — Dara Singh, M. B. Shetty, Bhagwan Palav — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1970.
