A Chinese scientist takes a plane to the United States of America to warn that China has the atomic bomb. On the way, however, the plane is intercepted by the Secret Service and shot down, falling over Italy. The scientist, who was saved, is later taken to his destination by a secret agent, but with much difficulty.
Directed by Bruno Paolinelli, OSS 77 - Operation Lotus Flower leans on a strong ensemble — Sandro Moretti, Dominique Boschero, Gaia Germani — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about adventure titles of 1965.
