About Ammayi Bagundi
Siva (Sivaji) is a modern guy who falls in love with a beautiful girl he saw at a bus stop but at the same time he goes to see a girl chosen by his parents for him. Luckily he finds the same girl he saw on the road as the bride-to-be. He happily agrees for the wedding. He immedialtely accepts to marry her. When he moves to settle in true marital bliss, the girl he had fallen in love moves near his house. He realizes that there exist two girls with the same face. Moreover he comes to know that tastes of his wife are exactly opposite to that of the girl he imagined and had fallen in love at first sight.
Directed by Balasekaran, Ammayi Bagundi leans on a strong ensemble — Sivaji Sontineni, Meera Jasmine, Hema — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2004.
