About Man of Ma Year
Nok, an upcountry boy, is a talented boxer who dreams of one day becoming an actor. He meets 3 other guys, Pao, Kung and David, each with their own aspirations. Pao would like to become a country singer, Kung would like to play Thai traditional opera while David would like to be a magic artist. All four of them meet by coincidence and they will have to support each other in order to reach their goals.
Directed by Bamrer Phongintakun, Man of Ma Year leans on a strong ensemble — Thawatchai Kacha-anand, Sornsutha Klunmalee, San Chaiyamart — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2003.
