Mr. Nobody

For some time, the police have been on the trail of a mysterious burglar who has evaded capture whilst executing one daring robbery after another. No one has any clue as to the identity of this elusive criminal and he has come to be known as Monsieur Personne.

Directed by Christian-Jaque, Mr. Nobody leans on a strong ensemble — Jules Berry, Josseline Gaël, André Berley — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1936.
