Shot around the globe over three years, the film charts the band's complex history and infighting, as it celebrated its 35th anniversary and found its estranged former members striking out on their own anniversary tour, while still others battle cancer.
Directed by Wes Orshoski, The Damned: Don't You Wish That We Were Dead leans on a strong ensemble — Dave Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about music titles of 2015.
