
The outlaw Stragg has the town so intimidated that no one will speak against him no matter what he does. Sheriff Young heads for a nearby town, where there is a witness willing to testify. Meanwhile, Stragg hires a gunman to take care of the sheriff and the witness.
Directed by Albert C. Gannaway, Hidden Guns leans on a strong ensemble — Bruce Bennett, Richard Arlen, John Carradine — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about western titles of 1956.
