The Children of Dynmouth

Timothy Gedge, a socially inept yet intrusive teenage boy, wanders around the dull seaside town of Dynmouth, spying on the town's residents. At first this behaviour is seen as merely annoying, even comical, until people begin to realise that his purpose may not be as innocent as initially thought.

Directed by Peter Hammond, The Children of Dynmouth leans on a strong ensemble — Simon Fox, John Bird, Gary Raymond — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1987.
