About Coverina
Kamal is unemployed and he usually helps out his friend Ery at her burger stall. One day, Kamal accidentally applies for a job at a motorcycle company owned by a man-hating woman named Rina and he is hired as a female despatch rider. He cross-dresses as a woman named Kamalia and decides to further understand Rina but ends up falling in love with her.
Directed by Khalid Nadzri, Coverina leans on a strong ensemble — Pekin Ibrahim, Cat Farish, Siti Elizad — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 2015.
