About Hooray for Madness
A good-hearted guy, Romeos, who thinks he's a big "Kazanova", comes out of the madhouse. At the suggestion of his cousin Leon Karfis, he goes on holiday to an island where he is continuously under the watchful eye of a nurse of the madhouse, Telemachus.
Directed by Panos Glykofrydis, Hooray for Madness leans on a strong ensemble — Thanasis Veggos, Sonia Zoidou, Dimitris Nikolaidis — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1962.
