About Ramadan On The Volcano
Ramadan is a poor young employee who wants to marry his fiancée Alia but can't afford it. He plans to steal and hide the employees' salary bag, then turn himself in and serve his sentence so that he can get married after. Upon his release, he finds out that another gang stole the money bag.
Directed by Ahmed El-Sabawy, Ramadan On The Volcano leans on a strong ensemble — Adel Emam, Waheid Seif, Sameer Ghanem — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1985.
