About Laus im Pelz
Architect Willi receives a surprise visit from Rick, who once saved his life. However, his initial joy at Rick’s sudden appearance doesn’t last long. The guest turns out to be a complete idiot with absolutely no tact. To make matters worse, the uninvited guest doesn’t seem to have the slightest intention of leaving. The usually calm host is growing increasingly nervous.
Directed by Rolf von Sydow, Laus im Pelz leans on a strong ensemble — Dieter Hallervorden, Constanze Harpen, Joachim Kerzel — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1987.
