About Katatonia: Sanctitude
Sanctitude is a concert film filmed and recorded in the stunning candle-lit setting of London’s Union Chapel. The 80 minute set features 17 songs across the albums The Great Cold Distance, Viva Emptiness, Brave Murder Day, Last Fair Deal Gone Down and of course, Dead End Kings. This live acoustic set was made in support of the reimagining of Dead End Kings album, Dethroned & Uncrowned. The show closes with the sublime ‘The One You Are Looking For Is Not Here’ with special guest Silje Wergeland, Norwegian vocalist of Dutch legends The Gathering.
Directed by Anthony Graham, Katatonia: Sanctitude leans on a strong ensemble — Jonas Renkse, Anders "Blakkheim" Nyström, Niklas 'Nille' Sandin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about music titles of 2015.
