Detective Mortensen is certainly not the sharpest tool in the shed, but despite his obvious incompetence, he is assigned to track down a group of drug gangsters. Nothing good comes of it. Only coincidences and extreme luck keep the investigation on track, even though Mortensen's highly questionable methods constantly threaten to ruin everything.
Directed by Regner Grasten, Bananen - Skræl den før din nabo! leans on a strong ensemble — Dick Kaysø, Ole Ernst, Brian Patterson — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about action titles of 1990.
