About It All Started with Taking It All Off
Morishita, who came to Tokyo from Akita, made her debut as an AV actress at the age of 18, and quickly became so popular that she was called an AV queen. After retiring from AV after 10 years of activity and publishing an autobiographical book, she made a movie based on it. Morishita looked back at the time in the process of making the script, but due to prejudice against the profession of an AV actress, the content of the script goes in an unexpected direction. Meanwhile, Morishita reunites with her hated father for the first time since moving to Tokyo.
Directed by Saku Nakamachi, It All Started with Taking It All Off leans on a strong ensemble — Risa Narita, Mae Watanabe, Tatsuya Egawa — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2012.
