Other Lives

Two apartments. In one, lives a couple tired of each other. In the other, young students. The couple becomes aware of a party in the neighbour apartment, and are longing for the life of the youths.

Directed by Eirik Tveiten, Other Lives leans on a strong ensemble — Julia Bache-Wiig, Daniel Gjerde, Lars Sørbø — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2012.
