About Heart and Face
Kyeong-il and his sister, Kyeong-a, run a store together, but Kyeong-il is hospitalized when competitors beat him up. In the hospital, he falls in love with a nurse. She is already engaged so the only way he can continue seeing her is to manufacture reasons to stay in the hospital.
Directed by Lee Hyeong-pyo, Heart and Face leans on a strong ensemble — Lee Ju-il, Won Mi-kyung, Kim Dong-hyun — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1983.
