The former pupils of the school "Ateneo" meet several years later to honor the retirement of the head master, Mrs. María. The house where everyone meets, still evokes ancient memories from that time. One of them proposes something very special, to play the journey exactly as they used to do it. From the 40 people committed, only 9 show up. Their frustration grows when the journey begins and they still don't know what are they going to do.
Directed by Jaime de Armiñán, En septiembre leans on a strong ensemble — Carmen de la Maza, Amparo Baró, María Massip — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1982.
