The Wrong Couples

Upon returning home, sailor Yu (Richard Ng) is shock to discover that not only his wife left him, but the house has also been sub-letted to an old maid, May Wong (Josephine Siu). Both Yu and Wong have their own strange habits, and them living together under the same roof causes numerous hilarious incidents.

Directed by David Chiang Da-Wei, The Wrong Couples leans on a strong ensemble — Richard Ng Yiu-Hon, Josephine Siao Fong-Fong, Paul Chun Pui — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1987.
