About Ente Sooryaputhrikku
Maya is the spoiled child of a rich man. Along with her friends she decides to make fun of Dr. Srinivas. The doctor in turn insults her by saying that she is a fatherless child. Maya discovers that her father has adopted her when she was a baby and that her biological mother is the famous singer K. S Vasundhara Devi. She tries everything to make her mother accept her.
Directed by Fazil, Ente Sooryaputhrikku leans on a strong ensemble — Amala Akkineni, Srividya, Suresh Gopi — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 1991.
