Two prominent families & business rivals, the Uppukandam brothers, Kariachan (Captain Raju), Paulachan (Keerikkadan Jose), Xavichan (Babu Antony), Josekutty (Jagadish) & Thankachan (Baiju), & the Ettuveettil Pillais, headed by Ananthan Pillai (Rajan P. Dev) & his sons & nephews, have been feuding for years, aggravated by the fact that Xavichan had gone to jail for killing Vasu Pillai (Johny) of the Ettuveettil family, who in turn had killed Roy Mathews (Siddique), Xavichan's brother-in-law.
Directed by T S Suresh Babu, Uppukandam Brothers leans on a strong ensemble — Jagadish, Captain Raju, Maathu — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
