Mazlum Kuzey

Mazlum is a man who lives in the Esenler neighborhood and works as a singer in a nightclub despite his limited knowledge of music. Every night, he arrives at the venue with his own poster from the 90s tucked under his arm. Since this is the last poster he has left, he treats it like his own eye, hanging it on the club's bulletin board himself. He makes his own announcements from backstage. Despite having an extremely naive personality, he appears cunning, flirtatious, and impulsive to outsiders.

Directed by Ali Adnan Özgür, Mazlum Kuzey leans on a strong ensemble — Önder Açıkbaş, Turan Selçuk Yerlikaya, Seçil Buket Akıncı — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2015.
