
Whoozit, produced in 1928 by Bowers Comedy Corp, was considered totally missing. This unique 16 mm print was discovered in 2008 in the collections of the Eye Film Institute. It is incomplete, and only retains the second half of the original production. It was restored digitally by Lobster Films, Paris, in November 2013.
Directed by Charles R. Bowers, Harold L. Muller, Whoozit leans on a strong ensemble — Charles R. Bowers — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1928.
