Hope lives with her husband on the mountain, and all summer makes charcoal in a kiln in the heart of the forest. When it reaches the village the recently released from prison Marco, under the pretext of the foot treatment, hanging out every day, and promises to take her back home, Kavala, which has much nostalgia.
Directed by Dora Masklavanou, Ki An Fygo Tha Ksanartho leans on a strong ensemble — Maria Kehayioglou, Yannis Stankoglou, Giorgos Tsoularis — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2005.
