Cesta do Vídně a zpátky

Kamila Bendová is a successful woman. She is fully fulfilled in her work and could be described as a workaholic. She is 39 years old and lives alone, except for occasional meetings with her boyfriend Igor. After a disagreement with him, she allows her friend Irena to persuade her to go on a weekend trip to Vienna. However, there is one problem on the way - a stop in South Moravia and a meeting with Laďa Bednařík, a fifty-year-old veterinarian who has been treated for alcoholism three times.

Directed by Petr Slavík, Cesta do Vídně a zpátky leans on a strong ensemble — Miroslav Etzler, Ivana Chýlková, Miroslava Pleštilová — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2007.
