About Der Athen Krimi: Trojanische Pferde
Having just arrived at his new post at the Athens homicide division, Chief Inspector Max Richter is immediately called to duty: a young musician has been found shot dead in her apartment. Together with his Greek colleague Petros Makropoulos, he immediately begins the investigation. The two are initially very skeptical of each other, but together they manage to identify a suspect. However, the more information they uncover, the more obscure the case becomes, and they soon find themselves in the middle of a transnational corruption scandal.
Directed by Marc Brummund, Der Athen Krimi: Trojanische Pferde leans on a strong ensemble — Francis Fulton-Smith, Waldemar Kobus, Kostas Sommer — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about crime titles of 2016.
