
Victor, a 37 year old hairstylist at Mexico, has a really standard routine: he works, plays domino, watches soccer and cleans his house. He also likes romantic music and old classic mexican movies. But suddenly, he has to break this routine and go to Rio the Janeiro.
Directed by Iván Ávila Dueñas, The Romantic Barber leans on a strong ensemble — Germán Betancourt, Maria Elena Aguilar, Fernando Bezerra — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2016.
