Directed by Yoshiyuki Tomino, Osamu Sekita, Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, Mobile Suit Gundam II: Soldiers of Sorrow leans on a strong ensemble — Toru Furuya, Shuichi Ikeda, Yo Inoue — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
