About Where Are You Going, Habibi?
Ibrahim, a young German of Turkish descent, leads a double life, living with his tradition-bound family and spending his days looking for a respectable job. But outside his parent's apartment, Ibo (as he's called by his family and friends) is a confident gay man who works in a sex shop and is on the hunt for Mr. Right.
Directed by Tor Iben, Where Are You Going, Habibi? leans on a strong ensemble — Cem Alkan, Martin Walde, Neil Malik Abdullah — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2015.
