About Bittersweet Revenge
On the way back from visiting her mother in a mental home, Kim Knaur sees, how Claire is dragged into an abandoned cabin by a few boys from a lover-boy gang. She runs home and gets the gun of her father to free Claire. After Claire is rescued, and Kim gets to know that the boys from the cabin weren't the only ones who abused Claire, the two girls decide, connected by their common fate, to take revenge on all of their tormentors.
Directed by David Lunch, Bittersweet Revenge leans on a strong ensemble — Melisa Ackermann, Melanie Rose, Paulina Lin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about thriller titles of 2016.
