Lovers Like Us

London-born Lisa re-locates to live in Colaba, Mumbai. She meets with struggling actor, Keith, both fall in love, and he moves in her flat. She rents out a room to Hyderabad-based Siddhant; faces heartbreak when she finds out that Keith has a new girlfriend, Pooja, and asks him to leave. She then gets friendly with Siddhant, both get intimate, and she becomes pregnant.

Directed by T. Gopichand, Lovers Like Us leans on a strong ensemble — Sara Khan, Aziz, Daman Baggan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2002.
