About Gargalhada Final
Father and son are members of a decadent circus. Tired of being constantly criticized by the owner of the circus, Trombada, the ventriloquist, makes a joke about his boss, and the two fight. The clown Marreco hits their boss on the head. Now the two have to run from the police while living an adventure.
Directed by Xavier de Oliveira, Gargalhada Final leans on a strong ensemble — Fregolente, Stepan Nercessian, Denise Bandeira — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1979.
