Stranded

Ghassra, an Arab taxi driver faces difficulties answering nature’s call. He wants to relieve himself by a tree, but is challenged by the election candidate, the soccer fan, the extremist and the policeman.

Directed by Jamil Najjar, Stranded leans on a strong ensemble — Lotfi Abdelli, Néjib Belkadhi, Chedly Arfaoui — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 2015.
