Ten beautiful women strip down fully nude in this 60-minute novelty tape. Upon release, original distributor Continental Video ran a promotional contest in which customers mail in entry forms naming their favorite performer among the 10. The customer whose name is picked in a drawing is promised a trip to Hollywood for a "dream date" with the woman he selected.
Directed by Keith Jon, The Stripper of the Year leans on a strong ensemble — Kitten Natividad, Venus DeLight, Gail Harris — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 1986.
