Young, handsome and cultured Ramón goes to visit his dying grandfather on his deathbed. During the visit, gramps explains that to inherit his isolated farm he'll have to share it with his cousin Beatrice. But a dark past is linked to this estate, full of mystery, murders and unexplained, perhaps even supernatural, events.
Directed by Víctor Ugalde, The Blood-Stained Nun leans on a strong ensemble — Guillermo Capetillo, Fernando Sáenz, Paola Gaer — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 1991.
