About French Finishing School
Viva la erotique! A French finishing school is where young girls go to complete their education but in domestic and social skills rather than academics. In short, it's where they learn to be girls who behave like women. Samantha (Desiree Cousteau) is obviously an "A" student, because she secretly photographs one of her teachers, a handsome stud named Eric, in bed with one of his students. Armed with this scandalous blackmail, she proceeds to turn him into her private but vengeful love slave.
Directed by Gérard Kikoïne, French Finishing School leans on a strong ensemble — Desiree Cousteau, Brooke West, Thierry de Brem — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1979.
