Gangster chick Zara steals jewels together with the criminal Slim, who hides the loot in the hearse 'Hulda', which lazy trash man Sven has been assigned to drive to a priest in Paris. A wild hunt for the diamonds starts. The journey goes through Europe, where the hunted Sven is accompanied by a kind scout and a skinny dipping female Salvationist.
Directed by Claes Fellbom, The Wild Hunt for the Hearse leans on a strong ensemble — Halvar Björk, Margareta Sjödin, Roland Jansson — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
