
Ángela, a young orphan studying at a school abroad, decides to spend the Christmas holidays in Madrid, at the home of her guardian and closest relative, an unmarried lawyer with a somewhat dissipated life.
Directed by Ramón Quadreny, Ángela es así leans on a strong ensemble — Josita Hernán, Fernando Fernández de Córdoba, Fernando Freyre de Andrade — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1945.
