A remake of 1977 Indonesian classic film with the same title. Siska (Raihaanun), a young woman, was heartbroken after her fiancé broke off their engagement. Unwilling to see his sister depressed, her brother Johnny introduced her to his friend Leo. Leo manages to make Siska happy. However, unknown to Siska, Leo only interested in her as part of a bet. After overhearing Leo discussing the bet with his friends, Siska runs away from Leo and found another guy, her father's subordinates, a restaurant manager named Helmi. Helmi blackmails Siska into marrying him, threatening to tell her mother that her father is having an affair with a younger woman. Eventually becoming unable to stand Helmi's actions, Siska divorced with Helmi and come back together with Leo.
Directed by Teddy Soeria Atmadja, Badai Pasti Berlalu leans on a strong ensemble — Vino G. Bastian, Raihaanun, Winky Wiryawan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2007.
