About The Gang of Hamada and Toto
The boss at a large travel company fires Hamada, who worked there as a manager, after stealing all of his innovative ideas. Deprived of their usual income, Hamada and his wife Tutu decide to fix their financial problems in an unusual way, namely by robbing small banks, small shops and even pharmacies.
Directed by Mohamed Abdelaziz, The Gang of Hamada and Toto leans on a strong ensemble — Adel Emam, Lebleba, Ali Al Sharif — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about comedy titles of 1982.
