About Massacre at Noon
In Autumn of 1941, the German army, determined to put down a Communist-led uprising in Serbia, is conducting a policy of killing 100 hostages for any German soldier killed. The city of Kraljevo is the site of one of those massacres, portrayed in this movie.
Directed by Zdravko Velimirović, Massacre at Noon leans on a strong ensemble — Ljubiša Samardžić, Dragomir 'Gidra' Bojanić, Miha Baloh — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about war titles of 1975.
