Daisy is a teenage love story set in a boarding school in Ooty. The movie follows the plot of Pradeep, a trouble maker who plays a prank on Daisy, a new comer to the school. Eventually they fall in love and Daisy tries to help Pradeep to come out of his over aggressive behaviour.
Directed by Prathap Pothan, Daisy leans on a strong ensemble — Sonia, Harish Kumar, Kamal Haasan — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about romance titles of 1988.
