During an experiment of a machine designed to visualize a person's inner mind, an accident occurs leaving its inventor unconscious. The inventor's wife, Aoi (Shirakawa Nanami), continues the research in an effort to visualize her husband's feelings. Masaki (Yoshida Ryuichi) arrives at the laboratory to announce the suspension of the research, but is taken with Aoi instead.
Directed by Akiko Igarashi, Visualized Hearts leans on a strong ensemble — Ryuichi Yoshida, Nanami SHIRAKAWA, Yoshio Shin — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about screen titles of 2017.
