The Cat shows off his new player. Kesha, jealous, returns home and makes a scene for his owner. After that, he leaves home and tries to sell himself for 1,000 rubles. Meeting Vovka's rich neighbor, he goes to live with him. But life turns out to be not so sweet.
Directed by Aleksandr Davydov, The Return of the Prodigal Parrot (Part 2) leans on a strong ensemble — Gennadiy Khazanov, Natalya Chenchik, Vyacheslav Nevinnyy — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about animation titles of 1987.
