Stacey & the Alien

Eighteen year old cheerleader Stacey can't handle the loss of her recently deceased mother. She decides to keep mother's body hidden from the outside world and tries to hold on to the illusion that by doing this, they can keep on spending their lives together.

Directed by Nelson Polfliet, Stacey & the Alien leans on a strong ensemble — Renée Vervaet, Ineke Nijssen — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about horror titles of 2016.
