Secrets from the Past

Ali, a young photographer who lives with his family, finds himself in an unusual and sad story in Bosnia and Herzegovina after a genetic disorder. Having never visited Bosnia, he will look for the traces of his own past. Hana, who lives in Bosnia, will not leave him travel alone on this journey.

Directed by Raşit Görgülü, Vedat Demir, Secrets from the Past leans on a strong ensemble — Serkan Şenalp, Nataša Petrović, Emir Hadžihafizbegović — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.

The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2017.
