About Vincent Wants to Sea
Vincent, a young man who suffers from Tourette's syndrome, has just lost his mother. His father, a successful politician, does not want to take care of him and therefore places him into a mental institution. He is put into a room with Alexander, a guy with a compulsive disorder, and is shown around by Marie, an anorectic girl.
Directed by Ralf Huettner, Vincent Wants to Sea leans on a strong ensemble — Florian David Fitz, Karoline Herfurth, Johannes Allmayer — to carry a story that balances spectacle with character.
The film landed with audiences for its craft and performances, and remains one of the most talked-about drama titles of 2010.
